EMILE HADDAD - President and CEO
As the founder of FivePoint Communities, Emile Haddad has over 27 years of real estate experience in the United States and abroad. Prior to opening FivePoint, Mr. Haddad was the Chief Investment Officer at Lennar, one of the largest publicly held homebuilders in the United States. In his capacity at Lennar, he oversaw the company’s land investments and asset management, which included over 250,000 homesites owned and controlled. Mr. Haddad also supervised many ventures in which Lennar was the manager of several billion dollars in assets. Mr. Haddad was with Lennar from its inception in California, and was key to its growth in the West. Prior to Lennar, he was the Senior Vice President of Bramalea, which was part of a Canadian real estate conglomerate in the 1980s and early 1990s. A nationally recognized land expert, Mr. Haddad has received many honors and awards. He currently serves on the University of California at Irvine’s Foundation Board and its School of Real Estate, as well as the Foundation Board of Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
MICHAEL P. WHITE - Chief Financial Officer
Michael White was most recently Lennar’s executive vice president of Asset Management, and has over 11 years of experience with Lennar in various capacities, including chief financial officer and treasurer overseeing the California, Arizona and Nevada regions. He was responsible for the Western Region finance group and was actively involved in expanding the organization to provide over $5 billion of financing to various Lennar-managed joint ventures. Additionally, Mr. White was responsible for several land banking relationships used to grow the company’s footprint in the Western Region. Prior to joining Lennar in 1998, he served as vice president of the Real Estate Industries Group at Sanwa Bank California. Previous to Sanwa Bank, he was a senior manager at KPMG Peat Marwick’s Los Angeles Real Estate Industries Group.
LYNN JOCHIM - Executive Vice President
Lynn Jochim’s broad knowledge of entitlements, finance and real estate make her uniquely qualified to run the operations of large-scale planned communities. Prior to FivePoint Communities, she was an executive with Lennar for 10 years where she oversaw several master-planned communities in both Northern and Southern California. Before joining Lennar in 1999, Ms. Jochim founded her own business, which was the first woman-owned business (WOB) to contract with the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC). Her firm managed and disposed of the largest land portfolios in RTC history. Ms. Jochim is active in the community, a former board member of the Building Industry Association (BIA) and founded the BIA Women’s Education Council.
GRAHAM JONES - Senior Vice President, Asset Management
As a member of the asset management team at Lennar, Graham Jones played a key role in the acquisition, disposition and capitalization of large master-planned communities and joint ventures for over eight years. Graham Jones has been involved in the structure, negotiation and closing of large-scale transactions with real estate investment funds such as Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund, Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners, Westbrook Capital, Blackacre Institutional Capital Management, LP, Rockpoint Group, LLC and MSD Capital, LP. Prior to working with Lennar, Mr. Jones was vice president and chief financial officer of PLC, an entity established to acquire, develop and sell the residential components of Chevron Land and Developmentās Southern California residential land portfolio.
BOB SANTOS - Vice President
Bob Santos focuses on strategic planning and programming for FivePoint Communities, primarily in the areas of sustainable community design and related initiatives. Prior to assuming his current role with FivePoint, Mr. Santos spent 13 years with the Lennar Corporation where he performed a variety of leadership roles. His involvement included serving as president for Lennar’s Southern California Land Division, covering land development operations within seven Southern California counties, as well as helping to spearhead Lennar’s entry into the military base redevelopment business. Previous to joining Lennar, Mr. Santos spent nine years with the Irvine Company and also served as president and chief operating officer of Eastlake in San Diego County.
ARNOLD S. "ARNIE" NELSON - Vice President, Land Development
In the 1960s, Arnie Nelson founded Nelson & Belding Contracting Corporation, an “A” licensed engineering firm specializing in grading and infrastructure construction. For almost 50 years, his firm was responsible for grading millions of cubic yards of earth on multiple land projects, and was one of the top and most-respected grading and infrastructure firms in California. In 2004, Mr. Nelson closed his company, and he and his team joined Lennar where he was named regional vice president of Land Development. Mr. Nelson and his team bring a very unique skill set to FivePoint Communities, giving the company a definite advantage in managing large-scale communities with complex land-development challenges.
TOM MARTIN - Vice President, Planning and Product Development
Tom Martin oversees residential product development, integrating mixed-use assets and amenities in planned communities to create added value. Mr. Martin’s prior history includes 17 years with Lennar where he devoted his attention to planning, place-making, product and marketing activities for the corporation’s master-planned community activities throughout the Western Region and Northeast. Mr. Martin joined Lennar in 1996 through the company’s acquisition of Coto de Caza, a 4,000-home master-planned community in South Orange County. Prior to Coto de Caza, he was vice president of marketing and sales for Homestead Land Development and Bramalea Homes in the mid-to-late 1980s.
