Treasure Island

With 360-degree panoramic views of San Francisco and Oakland, Treasure Island is designed to be one of the most sustainable communities in the nation. Meticulously planned, the streets will be set at special angles to minimize wind exposure, and most of the housing will be positioned around the New Ferry Terminal and the Bay Bridge off ramp, while conserving 300 acres for a natural habitat reserve. Many of the landmarks will be preserved and readapted, such as the Old Terminal, a regal building featured in the motion picture Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, which will become the New Ferry Terminal. When completed, Treasure Island will be a center of green living in the Bay, with several thousand homes, from townhomes to high-rises, a retail area, a hotel and ferry terminal.
